Grounded in evidence-based techniques, this practice offers a compassionate, non-judgmental space tailored specifically to your unique needs and identity. Together, we will help you to navigate overthinking, boundaries, and overwhelm at a pace that fits your life.
Finding the right support should feel empowering, not overwhelming. We will work at your pace, based entirely on mutual agreement and what fits your life.
Passionate About Creating Digital Experiences
I hold my degree in Psychology from Palacky University in Olomouc and my work is based in up-to-date scientific research, methods of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I specialize in supporting folks who often feel misunderstood by traditional systems. My passion lies in creating a grounded, authentic space where you can drop the act, stop trying to force yourself into rigid boxes, and figure out what actually works for your life.

What defines my work
What defines my work?
Sessions work best when you feel safe, heard, and truly understood. We start with the here and now, addressing the pressing challenges bringing you through the door so you get real-time relief. We help you spot automatic, unhelpful thought loops or habitual reactions that leave you feeling stuck. Together, we look at those patterns objectively and develop actionable tools to shift them into more balanced, functional ways of navigating daily life. From there, we gradually zoom out to connect these present issues to the bigger picture of your life, identity, and personal patterns.
Here is what defines my work with clients:
Evidence-based techniques
I use proven, evidence-based techniques.
Customized for you
Every framework we use is customized specifically for your unique situation, goals, and neurotype.
Judgment-free space
True growth begins with accepting where you are right now without judgment. My space is built on respect and acceptance of your lived experience.
Compassionate self-awareness
We focus on compassionate self-awareness and functional living, rather than forcing artificial positive thinking.

You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone
If you are feeling exhausted from constantly feeling stuck in cycles of overthinking, doubts, controlling anxiety, or overwhelm — you are in the right place.
You don't need a perfect plan, or to force a "bright side" attitude. There's a therapeutic space where your reality is understood, your unique life is respected, and your goals take center stage.
Sessions Built Around Your Life
Here, you are the expert on your own lived experience. My role is to bring evidence-based psychological tools — grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and modern science — to help you navigate life with greater ease and clarity.
Together, we start right where you are today. No forced schedules, no pressure to perform, and no toxic positivity — just practical strategies, radical acceptance, and deep respect for who you are.
Who This Space Is For
English, Czech, or Slovak Speakers
Comprehensive psychological support provided comfortably in either language.
Queer & LGBTQIA+
Safe, affirming space where you don't have to explain or justify your identity.
Neurodivergent Minds
Practical support for managing daily functioning and chronic overwhelm, alongside a dedicated space to explore the energy spent adapting, performing, or hiding — giving you room to unburden and live more comfortably.
What Brings People to Therapy
Some of the most frequent challenges we navigate together include:
Overthinking & Anxiety
Breaking free from racing thought loops, constant worrying about the future, and the physical exhaustion of living on high alert.
Boundaries & Self-Esteem
Learning to protect your energy, say "no" without guilt, and build a quiet, grounded self-respect that doesn't depend on pleasing everyone else.
Overwhelm & Daily Functioning
Finding manageable, real-world ways to navigate executive burnout, sensory fatigue, and the demands of everyday tasks when your brain feels completely overloaded.
Whether you are dealing with none of these or all three at once, we tackle them together step-by-step — giving you practical tools to move through the day with greater ease and clarity.
Finding the right support should feel empowering, not overwhelming. We will work at your pace, based entirely on mutual agreement and what fits your life.
Book Your First ConsultationServices & Specialties
I provide up-to-date, evidence-based online therapy for adults and young people aged 16 and older. My services are fully available in English, Czech, and Slovak.
Individual & Couples Therapy
I work with individuals as well as couples. To ensure we build a safe, balanced, and effective foundation for relationship work, couples therapy begins with a prior individual session for each partner.
Convenient Online Format
Therapy takes place online via Google Meet or WhatsApp, allowing you to attend sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own familiar environment. However, physical, in-person meetings can also be arranged if you specifically request them and we mutually agree.
Full 60-Minute Sessions
Rather than traditional, shorter appointments, all sessions are 60 minutes long. This extended time frame allows for a more relaxed, unhurried pace, deeper quality of work, and extra space for you to express yourself without feeling rushed.
Evidence-Based Approach
Our work relies on modern psychological methods and current knowledge.
Most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What Should I Expect in My First Session?
Your first session is a space for us to look at what brought you, and see whether the space is the right fit for you.
- We start right in the "here and now." We will talk through the main problems and unpack how they are affecting your daily life, energy, and well-being.
- Rather than just collecting extensive background data, we begin addressing your situation right away. I will share grounded, evidence-based information to help make sense of what you are experiencing.
- You will not leave the first session empty-handed. We will wrap up with a practical, tailored take-home exercise — a gentle, actionable tool you can try out in your daily routine before our next meeting.
How long is a session?

How long does the process take overall?
Short answer: Don't worry, it won't be an endless commitment without purpose.
Because therapy is tailored to your specific needs and goals, there is no single fixed timeframe. However, because my practice relies on evidence-based approaches, we can look into data about typical timelines:
- Short-Term Focus (8 to 12 sessions / ~2-3 months): Clinical research shows that many clients begin noticing meaningful symptom relief and skill acquisition within the first 4 to 6 sessions. A short-term duration is often sufficient for targeting a specific, acute challenge, learning immediate coping tools, or navigating a mild life transition.
- Standard Evidence-Based Course (12 to 20 sessions / ~3-6 months): Studies from the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Beck Institute consistently show that 50% to 75% of clients achieve significant, lasting improvement within 12 to 20 sessions. This timeframe allows enough space to identify deep-seated thought patterns, build emotion regulation habits, and consolidate real-world changes.
- Extended or Ongoing Support (6 to 12+ months): For long-standing challenges — such as chronic burnout, unlearning years of neurodivergent masking, processing complex trauma, or navigating ongoing identity exploration — therapy often naturally extends over a longer period to ensure deep, sustainable growth.
Do I need to prepare anything before a session?
No, you don't need to prepare anything formal or structured.
If it feels helpful to you… you can take a few moments before we meet to reflect on the main challenges or feelings that are bringing you in. However, you do not need to have a polished script, organized notes, or clear answers.
You are completely welcome to come with chaos.
You never have to perform, mask, or worry about doing the process "wrong." It is my job to hold space for whatever comes up, help make sense of your experiences, and guide us in spotting the patterns and connections at play. All you need to do is show up exactly as you are.
Will you give me "homework" between sessions?
Yes, we will often use between-session exercises to help translate what we discuss in therapy into your everyday life.
Sometimes, this "homework" is very light. It might just be a gentle prompt to "notice when this feeling comes up in your daily life," "observe how extensive a certain pattern is," or "try out this coping tool a few times and jot down a quick note on how it goes." Other times, it might be a slightly longer or more structured exercise.
However, homework will never be forced or simply handed down to you. Any between-session work is always a collaborative process. We will discuss it together, and it is entirely based on mutual agreement — ensuring that whatever you take on actually fits your current energy, capacity, and life circumstances for that week.
How do I know if therapy is working for me?
You should start noticing subtle shifts within the first month or so. Every session should give you at least a small insight into your situation, helping you spot your repeating patterns with greater clarity and notice progress in the areas that matter to you. Over time, those realizations naturally stack up into real-world change, empowering you to adjust your habits, reactions, and surroundings into healthier options that genuinely support you in the long run.
What if I feel like we aren't a good fit?
My ultimate goal is for you to get the support that genuinely works for you. If you realize we aren't the best match, I will gladly provide recommendations and referrals to help you find another professional who might be a better fit for your needs.
What are your fees, and do you take insurance?
Fees & Insurance: Sessions are 1,600 CZK for 60 minutes. I do not accept insurance, so all sessions are self-paid.
Couples Therapy & Packages: Package options are available for couples. Because couples therapy requires prior individual sessions for each partner, please contact me directly first so we can coordinate the process together.

What clients say about their experience
Romana quickly understood my issue and had great insights and even a homework for me to help me with the learning process.
Romana is able to work in a systematic way and explains the way we go, so that I can understand what helps me the most, which process, which approach. I feel comfortable and in good hands.
Romana is the best. I am so thankful to her for all.
I'm working with Romana for almost a year now and can only say great things about her — this changed my approach to a lot of things and I am forever grateful. We are still in the process, but navigating through challenging topics, finding the right path, asserting and argumenting is her strength.
